Job Description

Salary: Up to £35,310Job Type: Full TimeLocation: Head Office, West DidsburyBenefits: Competitive pension, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, cycle to work scheme, season ticket loans for public transport plus much more.The Accounts Payable Team Leader will be instrumental in the timely processing of supplier invoices and payments on behalf of the Group and will be an ambassador of exceptional customer service to suppliers and colleagues across the business.What you’ll be doing:

  • Actively managing team of Accounts Payable Officers by creating a weekly rota, ensuring adequate training, absence management and having regular 1-2-1 meetings to monitor performance
  • Checking and approving weekly payment run
  • Checking and approving sundry payments
  • Ensuring regular contractor payments for Developer
  • Running monthly CIS reports for CIS returns
  • Monitoring SLAs and KPI’s performance
  • Complete Month End Procedure within the SLA timescale
  • Being the main point of contact for Accounts Payable escalation queries
  • Ensuring that the Accounts Payable Team provides an excellent service in accordance with SLA’s
What you will need:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within Accounts Payable
  • Minimum 2 years of people management experience
  • Finance qualification, e.g. finance degree, AAT qualified/ACCA part qualified
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPS, pivot tables
  • Experience of cross organisational working and engaging stakeholders
  • Experience in Open Accounts, QL, eBis will be desirable but not essential
  • Exceptional multitasker, highly motivated and resilient, able to dive into the details whilst maintain an oversight of the big picture
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact with colleagues at all levels
