Job Description

I am looking to speak to individuals who are currently doing AAT. I have a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to step into a very broad finance assistant position, whilst receiving mentorship, and progression. This role will propel your career, and also give you some amazing benefits (the discounts are brilliant!). Location: Didsbury + hybridSalary: £26,000 - £31,000Main duties:

  • Analyse costs & populate general ledger coding and narrative on the invoices for use in the standard costing reconciliations & overheads.
  • Ensure that the charges raised are accurate and valid. Working closely with Procurement and Finance colleagues to address invoicing and cost issues where appropriate, including processing relevant charges.
  • Support Accounts Payable Assistants with queries & invoice processing as required
  • Perform quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet standard costing accounts for scheduled routes along with other direct operating costs, as advised by Finance Business Partners & Finance Manager
  • Monitor revisions to airport charges & forecast assumptions and summarise the financial impact & action relevant reforecasts
  • Assist in annual budget preparation as required
  • Raise sales invoices on a timely basis and ensure that they are settled within terms
  • Support month end processes by preparing accrual workings & analysis for review
  • Assist the Finance Business Partner in performing quarterly analysis of the overhead costs along with commentary and variance investigation
  • Reconcile and produce intercompany reporting for review
  • Manage the approval of all direct operating cost recharges from the company, maintaining contact with colleagues throughout the organisation
  • Maintain process maps and notes on duties undertaken
  • Proactively look for workflow improvements within the function to drive efficiencies
  • Support the finance team on ad hoc project work.
