Job Description

Multi-Skilled Facilities Engineer - Desford (LE9 post code)Hourly rate £27.80 (Umbrella) £20.80 (PAYE)Contract duration will be until Dec 2022Based at a world leading manufacturer of compact Off Highway Machinery were looking for a Facilities Engineer to manage teams to deliver facility goals and projects. This will include reviewing and making recommendations on new and current equipment, procedures,and training requirements.As Facilities Engineerjob duties / responsibilities will include;

  • Support facility on both new and current mechanical and electrical needs for infrastructure and equipment
  • Lead and manage projects for facility improvements and new equipment installation
  • Prepare documentation for compliance of site systems to a planned maintenance program
  • Investigate maintenance-related issues and recommend solutions
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems to prevent downtime
  • Liaise and manage third party contractors to ensure compliance
  • Assist in the design and recommendations of building changes
  • Verify equipment and systems effectiveness and recommend revision or purchase of new equipment
Skills, experience & qualifications the Facilities Engineer will have;
  • HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading projects
  • Experience of managing contractors and/or suppliers
  • Previous experience in equipment specification, diagnostics, systems integration, and maintenance coordination
  • Interpersonal skills to adapt to a diverse group of employees, customers, and suppliers
