Materials Planner (New Model) – DesfordMonday to Friday 8am to 4pm£10.56p/hrDo you have a Supply Chain background, with experience in Materials PlanningAre you great at building professional relationships and an effective communicatorAre you self-motivated, able to take ownership and have a keen eye for detailIf so, this could be the role for you!The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has become available within the Parts Planning Team as a New Model Planner. The role is responsible to effectively manage a portfolio of Vendors ensuring key deliverables are achieved in line with the Client’s expectations for New Model Launches. The successful Materials Planner will be responsible for:· Direct interface with the Supply base to manage and monitor the status of ordered parts/materials and expedite delivery of items exceed Client expectations pre-& post New Model launch· Work New Model parts summaries, on a daily basis· Ensure that the New Model tracker status, SAP and comments are current, at all times· Problem solve to establish root cause of issues impacting supply of parts, create action plans and agree recovery plans with Vendors and stakeholder’s, when necessary to meet deadlines· Liaison with Client Aftermarket Purchasing team, Engineering and Aftermarket teams to monitor and progress New Model approval and status· Escalate internally and externally where appropriate to urgently resolve issues preventing supply· Identify and undertake risk management strategies, Pre-engagement activities with Supply base· Deliver agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) including stock in bin % at launch, ETA coverage, Post launch availability· Support new Supplier induction and Supplier portal training· Daily Support of New Model back orders escalating to fulfil urgent Customer orders· Work closely with Team Leader, Supervisor & Manager to identify and implement Continuous Improvement ideas and support New Model initiativesThe CandidateThe successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:· Excellent organisation and planning skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy· Good communication skills verbal and written· Computer literate and fully competent in Microsoft Office Applications· Intermediate Excel level, SAP experience is desired but not essential· Prior experience in or knowledge of Supply Chain with experience in material planning· Strong interpersonal skills including Supplier interaction, must be target driven, persistent, take ownership and be self-motivated· Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team· To have a professional, proactive and flexible approach to work· Ability to work under pressure and towards set cut off timings· Clean driving license, Supplier visits may be required in the UKSalary & BenefitsSalary: Salary guide is £10.50 per. Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.Free onsite parking.
