Job Description

Material PlannerDesfordUp to £17/hrInside IR35ContractThe Material Planner role is primarily focused on maximizing external supplier performance through understanding our clients supply network to drive execution of planned and scheduled orders whilst also remaining focused on inventory management to preventexcess material within the network.Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Schedule Exception Management
Inbound Shipment Tracking & Supplier Shipping Performance
Supplier Collaborations
Backorder Management / Shortage Analysis
Past Due Management
Management of Inbound Freight driven by Supplier past due
Manage the timely shipment of material
Collaborate & negotiate with suppliers to deliver material per requirements
Monitor, track & analyse supplier performance metrics

To apply for this position you should have some of the following:

General knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management.
Knowledge or experience in material control, purchasing, parts distribution, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations and transportation or logistics desired
Understanding of MRP process and supply chain
Stakeholder Management
Knowledge of manufacturing processes
Ability to use and troubleshoot the MRP, Lognet and MTS systems
