Job Description

Quality InspectorHYDRO is a leading global company specialising in GSE and Maintenance tooling for the aerospace industry. With an unmatched product portfolio we offer our customers innovative and high quality tooling solutions, with a full design, make and after service provision.Position: Quality InspectorLocation: Castle Donington, Derby DE74 2PYJob Type: Full Time, PermanentHours: 38 hours per week, Mon-Fri with flexible start and finish times dependant on role TBASalary: £26k to £29k per annum (Plus overtime)Benefits: Company Pension - matched contribution scheme Westfield Health care plan - after 3 months.About the role:The role of Quality Inspector will be responsible for the daily inspection of engine tooling through the Quality Inspection Process and service calibration of GSE and tooling products.Responsibilities:

  • Initial visual Inspection of aerospace tooling and GSE using engineering drawings.
  • Advising on inspection techniques when different from the routine according to guidelines.
  • The accurate inspection of tools, ensuring they are in conjunction with drawings and measurement tools (first principle).
  • Raise QNs when items fail inspection and holding and blocking of tools as required within SAP.
  • Liaise internally with all departments to ensure effective communication is maintained.
  • Inspection of third-party calibration tools incoming and outgoing.
  • Undertaking internal calibrations.
  • Assisting the Service team to inspect and test aerospace tooling.
  • Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability as assigned by the Management Team.
About you:
  • Proven experience of Quality Inspection
  • Willingness to learn FLT, training will be available where required
  • Willingness to travel regularly in UK and worldwide as required
  • Valid driving licence and passport essential
  • LEEA qualifications would be advantageous
