Job Description

Location: Derby with on-site parkingSalary: up to £70,000We are looking for either an experienced Finance Manager or a qualified Senior Management Accountant to join an established team. If you have an eye for detail, can work to and achieve key milestones, can maintain strong business partnerships, andcan develop and implement new processes, this is for you.You will be working as part of a busy and fast-paced team assisting with the delivery of accurate and timely financial information, whilst aiding in the development of a proactive culture and robust governance and control environment.Your role:

  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial results, and forecasts
  • Ensure forecasts are robust and updated with monthly actuals, reporting on Risks and Opportunities
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Maintenance of cash book, sales ledger, and fixed assets
  • Preparation and reconciliation of monthly books of account for statutory and management reporting
  • Assist with audits - provide documents, analysis and explanations as requested
  • Manage cashflow and provide forecasting of future cashflow
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Provide information to the Company Tax Advisors as required
  • Take a leadership role in supporting and mentoring the transactional team
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
Your background:
  • Previous Accounting experience is essential, with the ability to produce monthly management accounts
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
  • Ability to support and implement senior management directives and able to meet fixed deadlines
  • Qualified - CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
  • Confident communication skills to build and maintain strong business partnerships
  • Good command of Excel and other accounting software
