Job Description

This roleHadhari Nari Womens advice centre is a service that offers advice, support and guidance to both victims and survivors of domestic abuse.This is a unique opportunity to make a significant difference to families at a traumatic stage in their life. You will be offering support in, looking for refuge space, housing referral, benefits application, immigration related support by referring customersto British Red Cross and Immigration solicitors, applying to Home Office for destitute domestic violence concession, referral to family solicitors, referral to social care, health services, the police and other agencies.What you`ll need to succeedAs this role will involve loan working, to be successful previous experience of supporting vulnerable adults is essential. You have Awareness of risks associated with domestic violence.Previous experience of direct work supporting women and children experiencing domestic abuse. Working closely with high risk victims of domestic violence in order to provide a high-quality independent advocacy, advice and support service.To establish the risks to and the needs of survivors of domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse, through enabling women to assess and manage risk to their own and their childrens safety.This is a 3 day/week role between 9:00am5:00pm based in advice centre in the Normanton area of Derby.To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, which will include a check of the Adult and Child Barred list, once an offer of employmentis made.Whats in it for youOur benefits include:-
