Job Description

If youre searching for a rewarding and fulfilling career opportunity, look no further.Spencer Clarke Groupare working alongsideDerbyshire County Councilto appoint aProject Manager (Highways Resurfacing Programme)on an initial 12 month contract.As a successful Project Manager, your duties will be:

  • To manage and successful deliver the £12M Highway Resurfacing Programme.
  • To successfully design commission approximately 200 projects to the in-house design team, £5m non-strategic construction framework and £1m direct delivery commissions to Derbyshires own in-house construction services.
  • Management of the £6.5m strategic construction contract
  • Management of the £5m non-strategic construction framework and £1m direct delivery commissions to Derbyshires own in-house construction services
To be considered, you will have the following knowledge/experience:
  • Experience of both complex programme and project management.
  • Designing, specifying and delivering planned works to achieve the quality outcome required.
  • Application of the principles of the Well-managed Highway Infrastructure code of practice.
  • In depth understanding of risks associated with highway resurfacing activities and measures to mitigate these
  • Application of CDM regulations with regard to Client, design and construction works
  • Detailed knowledge of the principles, techniques, procedures and activities associated with highway resurfacing
  • Professional qualification (e.g. Chartered or Incorporated Engineer)
Whats on offer
  • Salary: £40-50 P/H
  • Contract type: 12 months ongoing
  • Hours: Mon-Fri 37 hrs
  • Location: WFH + Site visits around Derbyshire
