Job Description

I am working with a business based in the Derby area that are looking for a Payroll Hub Manager to join their team.Client DetailsI am working with a global business, who have an office based in Derby - they are looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team and manage their Hub within the Derby area.This role offers working from home (3 days per week) as well as flexible working hours (37 hours per week).You will have 4 direct reports (2 based in Derby and 2 based across Europe). It is essential that you have strong people management skills and experience in project work and vendor management.The Hub Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery (based on service level agreements) of payroll and reporting to both the business and external authorities, in the countries under their responsibility. You will be managing the teams ratherthan running the payroll yourself.Description

  • Management of multi-country payroll operations
  • Responsible for the management of the 3rd party payroll provider contract, in terms of ensuring service level agreements are met
  • Develop payroll hub teams exchanging country specific knowledge, develop comprehensive team capabilities, sharing responsibility and enable cross-country backup involving Hub countries as well as offshore resources
  • Develop and stabilise in-built quality processes, anticipating and eliminating root causes for payroll errors, involving all relevant parties
Profile
  • Strong experience in a similar position
  • Excellent people skills including previous managerial experience
  • Project management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of general payroll systems at international level
  • Experience of large scale HR/Payroll systems is essential
  • Proficiency in English, any other Nordic language: Swedish, Danish is desirable
