Job Description

Job Title: Payments Team LeaderLocation: Derby (Some remote working)Basic salary: £25,000 - £30,000 + benefitsType: PermanentA prestigious and growing business based in the Derby area are looking to recruit a Payments Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. The person will be joining a great team of staff who offer a really good working atmosphere and approach towork.Required experience:

  • Previous experience managing a team in a high-volume payment/transaction environment (Please only apply if you have this)
  • Knowledge of MS Excel
The role:
  • Manage and lead a team of 7 staff who deal with high volume payments for the business
  • Co-ordinate the teams activity to ensure high volume payments are processed accurately to required deadlines
  • Ensure that all payments are delivered under the agreed KPIs
  • Be a point of escalation for the team and for other departments
  • Manage complex queries from the network and third-party suppliers
  • Contribute to banking related projects across the business as needed
  • Look to improve processes and procedures where possible
  • Be a key part of the onboarding process of new Appointed Representatives, providing training and support on processes
  • Develop all team members to become a highly effective team
  • Support the team ensure 1-2-1s & appraisals are completed regularly
