Within the Product Innovation Team, you will be recognised asa key contact for your subject matter area and be responsible for delivering key technical work packages to progress product development.We offer excellent development, a competitive salary and exceptional benefits. We encourage flexible working arrangements and support hybrid working wherever possible, so you can always be at your best - wherever and whenever you work.What youll be doing:You will act as a point-of-contact, playing an active role in a specific field within an engineering discipline, influencing closely aligned teams and departments. Deal with ambiguity, think innovatively and work at pace within a highly dynamic environment.Have a strategic mindset: the ability to see the bigger picture and consider the business case and market strategy when developing products and services.

• E,C&I: Analyse and translate high level requirements from the Systems, Safety and Analytical Teams into a validated design for the electrical systems and components. Analyse the electrical design functional behaviour, which may include modellingand simulation, to demonstrate that the design meets the high-level requirements. Support the development of the nuclear and security safety cases in hazard identification and management and the creation of design substantiation documentation.
• Systems: work closely with systems engineers to model the system-level architecture associated with your discipline. Carry out optioneering and concept down-selection analyses to help evolve the design. Define the functional requirementsthat cascade from key inputs to ensure safety case compliance.
• Project: manage your work to time, cost and quality requirements. Act as the intelligent customer for delivery of work packages within your discipline.
• Collaboration: contribute effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and understand related technical disciplines. Provide advice and support to Business and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs). Have a strong collaborative approach, witha desire and willingness to engage internally, with Rolls-Royce teams in other sectors, and with national and international industry, research centre and academic partners. Receive, interpret and convey complex information to, and from, people at a varietyof levels

• Ideally, you will have experience in one of the above disciplines, but this does not need to be limited to Submarines.
• It is preferable that you are Degree Qualified or Apprentice Trained in a relevant engineering discipline, however this is not essential as experience is equally beneficial
