NHS 111 Triage Clinician DHU HealthcareThe closing date is 07 February 2023Job summaryThe post holder will be responsible for exercising a high level of autonomous clinical assessments of patients of all ages with a broad spectrum of conditions and symptoms. The post holder will need to analyse complex facts and situations that contributeto the implementation of treatment and ensure the patient is sign posted to the correct service within the correct time frame. The post holder will complete all assessments over telephone or video consultations.A commitment to a high-quality service, excellence in clinical practice and continuous professional development are integral to the role and the development of the service.The post holder will participate in promoting and advancing DHU Health Care CIC.Candidates are required to work 6/8 weekendsNot sure if this role is for you Then why not come & visit us at DHU & get a feel for the role - please let us know if you would like this arrangingMain duties of the jobKey Areas of Responsibility & AccountabilityClinicalUndertake a comprehensive telephone based clinical assessment utilizing clinical support software when required.Use clinical knowledge and advanced communication skills to provide high quality advice on self-care as appropriate though the effective communication of evidence-based knowledge.Have experience of concise history taking and able to consider differential conditions, red flag symptoms and employ critical thinking.The ability to undertake holistic assessments providing differential diagnosis in both physical and mental health symptoms.Facilitate the patient pathway through primary, secondary, community and tertiary care.To assess, plan, treat and refer patients where clinically appropriate.To practice autonomously without direct supervision.To work within the parameters of your skills and knowledge, recognising the limitations to your own practice in line with your regulatory governing body code of conduct.To work effectively as part of a multi-professional team in collaboration with other services.Communicate outstanding issues or concerns to the appropriate manager before going off duty.To provide mentorship, leadership, and training to other team members.Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.About usDHU Healthcare is a not-for-profit community interest company providing a diverse range of services to the NHS frontline, including urgent and emergency care, primary care, out of hours services and NHS111.
