Midday supervisors required. The duties of a Midday assistant are to act as a member of the team, supervising pupils during the midday break and to sustain the welfare and safety of pupils during that break period, as directed by the senior midday supervisor/headteacher. To organise and supervise children throughout the lunchtime period, in particular:1. Organisation of the entry of the pupils into the dining room. 2. General supervision of pupils during the service of meals. 3. To promote adequate standards of table manners and eating habits. 4. To assist with the cutting of meat and other food items for infant pupils. 5. To organise and supervise the pupils during exit from the dining hall following the clearance of tables. 6. Maintain good hygiene standards of areas7. Welfare and supervision of all pupils before or after the meal in the playground, hall, corridors and classrooms as instructed by headteacher/senior supervisory assistant. 8. To report all accidents/illnesses to the senior supervisory assistant or to the first aid provider on duty. 9. As required, provide first aid to pupils, manage basic medical resources and record incidents and accidents according to policy.10. To carry out responsibilities under common law and the Health and Safety Act and to adhere to the schools health and safety policy. 11. To maintain discipline during the lunch break and to promote adherence to the schools behaviour and anti bullying policies. 12. Encourage positive physical engagement and behaviours on the playground, including the organisation and promotion of games and activities that stimulate pupils.13. To ensure that local authority policies on equality are adhered to by not differentiating between children on grounds of gender, race or disability. 14. To promote adherence to the schools code of conduct. 15. To report any matters involving child protection immediately to the Headteacher or named safeguarding representative. 16. To undergo training as required. 17. Make children happy and be a positive influence in their life.Such other duties reasonable duties as may be required by the headteacher or senior midday supervisor.
