Job Description

This is a great opportunity to join dynamic and expanding, Derby based software development and IT services company to join their unique and greatly valued Support and Engineering Team.Location: DerbySalary: £20,000 - £21,000As a member of the helpdesk you will work closely with a self-motivated team, driven to give the highest level of technical support and customer service. You will own the issues you pick up from start to finish, taking any appropriate action required, andworking with the helpdesk team to ensure the best solution is provided.Main Responsibilities:

  • Answer helpdesk calls and provide full technical support
  • Provide solutions based on service levels and support requirements of the customer.
  • Record all actions and solution details, keeping the customer updated at all times
  • Managing and completing day-to-day repairs of PC, EPOS, CCTV and peripheral equipment
  • Occasional 24/7 support.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing stock movement
Essential:
  • PC and Printer Hardware
  • Microsoft operating systems (XP/7/8/10)
  • The Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
  • Experience supporting and installing EPOS and CCTV systems
  • Understanding of networking - firewalls, routing, TCP/IP
  • Additional Microsoft Office suite tools (PowerPoint)
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced helpdesk environment
  • Experience of working in a PC repair environment
