The company is considering all levels of professionals ranging from Graduates throughto Principal Level.This FPGA Engineering role entails the candidate to be a British Citizen as well as obtaining and retaining an unconditional DV security clearance.Work arrangement:The work policy at the moment is 5 days a week onsite due to the nature of work a 37.5 working hours a week .Salaries Ranges for FPGA Engineers:

  • Graduate FPGA Engineer: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum
  • Junior/Mid-Level FPGA Engineer: £32,000 - £45,000 per annum
  • Senior FPGA Engineer: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
  • Principal FPGA Engineer: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
FPGA Engineer Key Skills:
  • Consideration of talented, fresh recently qualified graduates/postgraduates
  • An understanding of VHDL, the FPGA design process and the tools used to generate the FPGA designs (MATLAB, VHDL, Synthesis, Place and Route, Simulation, Timing Analysis and Timing Closure), then integrate and test of the FPGA on the circuit card assembly
  • An understanding of FPGA concepts and hardware design
  • Experience of VHDL for FPGA development
  • Familiarity with current Intel FPGAs
  • Experience with simulation or synthesis tools e.g., ModelSim, Synplify, Vivado, Quartus etc.
  • Capability to interpret and apply and help develop FPGA specific requirements
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
Desirable & highly advantageous nice to have skills:
  • Scripting: Perl, TCL, Python
  • Ethernet, Packet processes and networking layer 2 and layer 3 protocols
  • Experience of testbench development using System Verilog/UVM testing methodologies
  • Integrated Development EnvironmentXilinx ISE, Altera/Intel Quartus, Eclipse, Visual Studio, MPLAB X, Keil
  • Embedded Firmware Development in C
  • High Speed Circuit Design
  • Version Control SystemsGIT, SVN, CVS etc.
