What does this Finance Manager role involveHours: 40 hours (Monday - Friday, but may involve some weekend work)Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 (dependant on experience) + bonus plan (up to 20% of salary)What duties will be included in this finance manager role
  • Provide on going analytical support, monitoring the operating departments actual/ projected sales and profit; coach management team to ensure financial goals are met and cost saving/ productivity opportunities are identified.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and ensure account balances are current and supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Facilitates P&L critique meetings to review results with management team - Produce accurate forecasts that enable operations to react to changes in the business.
  • Manage internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensures compliance with SOPs, verifying that hotel policies are administered fairly and consistently.
  • Effectively manage the day-to-day operation of accounting to execute finance and accounting responsibilities for the property - Maintain a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability, andmanage business risks.
  • Verifies that the P&L is accurate (i.e., costs are properly matched to revenue, costs are recorded in the proper accounts) and statements are delivered to appropriate individuals in a timely manner
  • Assists the Cluster DOF in developing the annual business plan, budgets, forecasts, financial reports, tax compliance, and profit and loss statements.
  • Assist other departments, wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships within the whole hotel.
  • Recruit, train and develop finance team members and support in developing our next finance manager.
What will you bring to this finance manager role
  • Previous experience within a similar finance management role within a hotel environment.
  • Hold an accounting qualification.
  • Operational experience would be advantageous.
  • You will have a warm people orientated demeanour, a gift for attention to detail and a positive outlook.
