Job Description

Express Recruitment are proud to be working with one of the UKs most reputable firms who leading specialists in area. Due to continued international growth, our client is seeking the addition of an experienced Export Compliance Specialist to help developand maintain their Export Control System.In return, the successful candidate will receive a highly competitive industry salary of up to c£37,000, plus private medical insurance, cycle to work scheme, auto enrolled pension, enhanced holiday allowance and an opportunity to work hybrid upon completionof internal training programme.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Verify shipments and ensure they adhere to stringent export regulations
  • Maintain Chemical system and control release of chemicals for exports in adherence to operations regulations and environmental legislative requirements
  • Maintain and control tariffs for chemical products and ensure they comply with export classifications
  • Obtain and process applications for Export Licenses within EMEA and APAC regions
  • Ensure shipment details are correct prior to approving official release of shipments
  • Take ownership of ensuring all export documentation is recorded correctly, including compliance audit reports
  • Develop Export Control Reports for relevant governing bodies for audit purposes
  • Diarise visits to chemical manufacturers to perform site surveys/audits to determine whether they meet chemical approval rates
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience in Export Compliance, with up-to-date knowledge of international trade regulations, legislation and auditing criteria
  • Ability to demonstrate strong IT proficiency with a variety of systems and MS Office packages
  • Experience within the industrial manufacturing sectors (e.g., aerospace, defence, rail or nuclear)
  • Confident analytic skills with the ability to interpret large data sets
  • Confident negotiation and influential skills
  • Full UK Driving License and transport
