So we encourage flexible working arrangements and support hybrid working wherever possible, so you can always be at your best - wherever and whenever you work.What youll be doing:Reporting to the Engineering manager, you will ensure the Electrical aspects of the design and build are appropriate for the functional and safety requirements of the facility.

  • Act as Intelligent Customer for Electrical aspects of the facility design, directing and coordinating these areas of work by RR and partners in support of the new facility design and construction.
  • To support the development of standards and Statements of Requirements to the relevant Design Authorities regarding Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation (Infrastructure) Engineering, (including modifications) for nuclear and conventional Infrastructure.
  • To assure appropriate maintenance/testing/inspection of the Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation Infrastructure at Raynesway.
  • To act as Design Review Team member for the design and assessment of nuclear and conventional facilities. To assure that Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation aspects of infrastructure projects follow Rolls-Royce project delivery processes and take appropriateaccount of industry best practice.

  • Electrical Engineering degree or similar relevant discipline, although experience and capability will be taken into consideration.
  • Experienced in the design, construction and operation of nuclear and conventional facilities and infrastructure within the UK ideally including experience of undertaking and assessing design of facilities.
  • Familiarity with Nuclear Site Licensing Conditions and other regulatory requirements and with relevant ONR Safety Assessment Principles (SAPs), Technical Assessment Guides (TAGs) and knowledge of safety case production.
  • Experience of undertaking SAP(E) Duties associated with High Voltage Switchgear rated at voltages between 1kV and 36kV and completed HV operational safety course
  • Familiar with latest related Euro Codes, British Standards, Codes of Practice and Guidance Documents with knowledge of machinery conventional safety to BS60204 and safety devices to BS13849 and 13850 and lightning protection systems to BS62305
