Job Description

RSR is a public safety, housing & enterprise security recruitment specialist. We assist public safety & housing employers find the right talent. We assist all employers when they want to source public safety, housing and enterprise security skills and experience.RSR Public Safety are currently recruiting on behalf of our policing client based in Derby for a Detective Staff Investigator.This is a full time, 1-year fixed term with a possibility of extension for a further year and offers a salary of £29,085 - £35,982.Main Duties:

  • Conduct serious and complex investigations, interview victims and witnesses in relation to serious and complex investigations, interview suspects in relation to serious and complex investigations.
  • Develop and maintain investigative strategies identifying and prioritising lines of enquiry to maximise the gathering of material,
  • Prepare and submit case files and misconduct reports in compliance with legislation and the manual of guidance.
  • Prepare and present evidence to courts and other hearings.
Essential Requirements:
  • Must be PIP2 accredited.
  • Proven experience investigating complex and difficult investigations.
  • Proven experience in producing accurate professional reports or documents (in a work setting) with attention to detail.
  • Ability to scrutinise and analyse often complex and conflicting data to present accurate information.
  • Proven experience of communication with a wide range of people, including members of the public, professionals and external agencies.
