Looking to appoint a DEPUTY SITE COORDINATORThe Deputy Site Coordinator (DSCo) reports to the Site Coordinator (SCo) and coordinates operational activities at all times within the Hot Metal area (Smelting and Refinery).The DSCo will deputise for the SCo during times of emergency or sickness.Roles & responsibilities: Provide leadership within the Hot Metal area and implement the goals set for the department. Liaise with SCo, other DSCo, direct reports and other departments to ensure exceptional communication, continuous improvement and high performance. Agree priorities to assist and support other departments. Complete daily requirements for the role including reporting on performance, risk assess, reiterate the Safe to Challenge and Raise your Voice message, ensure all paperwork, CILs and safety checks are correctly filled in and direct reports are accountable. Be visible in the workplace, Challenge all unsafe behaviours and report all unsafe conditions. Coordinate the continuous improvement and development initiatives in the specified areas of control, incorporating the objectives agreed with individual Supervisors and Team Leaders. Coach and train the team with System techniques. Monitor and support Supervisors, Team Leaders and team members to ensure operational activities are undertaken according to priorities, schedules and procedures in a safe and efficient manner with due regard for the environment. Implement all relevant requirements in respect of health, safety, quality, environmental and energy matters. Arrange, hold, and attend meetings to achieve job requirements.Attend and / or chair periodic DSCo meetings, Supervisor meetings and Team Leader meetings. Implement existing policies, procedures, and standards and contribute to monitoring and reviewing these as necessary to keep them up to date and relevant. Involvement in recruiting, developing, and training people to maintain a high standard within the department. Carry out performance reviews for direct reports and implement actions arising. Implement budgets set for annual performance so that business requirements are met.Qualifications & experience:Essential:Post-Graduate, or a minimum of NEBOSH Cert, with a level 4 qualification in Supervisory management, or relevant experience. A strong understanding of the importance of and commitment towards upholding HSE compliance Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate to all employees at all levels within the company Must have the ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult or conflicting situations Evidence of leadership skills* Ability to use own initiative* Analytic ability* IT Skills
