This an ongoing project within Rolls-Royce Submarines rationalising executive and non-executive systems to simplify the management of in-service data used across theSubmarines engineering population. As the Cognos Report Writer you will be defining the next phase of the project by continually maintaining existing reports within Cognos, through bug fixing and improvements identified through end user feedback. You willbe taking new engineering data sources discovered by the Data Transformation project and creating new reports to make the data accessible to the Submarines engineering population.We offer excellent development, a competitive salary and exceptional benefits.   • Assisting in developing priorities in conjunction with leadership.
  • Participating in release testing, system upgrades and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Providing support to Product owner in capturing customer requirements and stakeholder management.
  • Travel to UK Rolls-Royce satellite offices as required for demonstrations, User Acceptance, Testing and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Experience of IBM Cognos (preferable), PowerBI, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, Tableau. developing reports and dashboards preferably with one or more Business Intelligence tools such as
  • Familiarity with SQL server/Oracle and MS Excel skills (programming in VBA)
  • Experience working with data sets.
  • Good communication skills, capable dealing with Stakeholders at all levels
  • An interest and aptitude for visualising information in an imaginative and creative way.
