Job Description

Quality Inspector- Experienced Quality InspectorUp to £16p/h, with overtime rate @ 1.5Hours of work: 37 hours per week (8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday & 8am to Noon on Friday)Our valued client is a British manufacturer of safety-related equipment for the aviation sector. They are looking to expand an existing Quality Inspection department and as such are seeking a fully skilled Quality Inspector alongside several trainees. As a skilled Quality Inspector, you will be immediately responsible for inspecting a variety of machinedaerospace components and sub-assemblies using a range of quality inspection techniques and equipment.Tasks for a Quality Inspector:

Mechanical Inspection of machined components to required quality standards
Follow Engineering drawings and spec sheets
First article inspection reports (FAIRS) and NCR (Non-conformance reports)
Carry out Visual inspections
Carry out first principal inspection
Bench Inspection
CMM Inspection (Operation)

The profile of a successful Quality Inspector:

Several years Mechanical / Quality Inspection within a high precision business
Good working knowledge CMM machines
Experience using Faro Arm and Contour Trace would be ideal
Good understanding of 1st batch and final inspection
Solid understanding of GD&T
Strong use of all hand measuring tools and equipment
Educated to HND or HNC level in a related field
Strong attention to details skills
A matching ethos of quality over quantity
