At all times the role will operate with a safetyand quality first, mindset. The role will lead and support root cause analysis, problem solving and identifying and implementing solutions to continually improve plant operations. The role will also provide support to capital investment projects across thesite.The maintenance team operates on a rotating shift pattern. The team is responsible for plant, machinery, and services reliability through a combination of planned asset care, fault diagnosis, repair, and external servicing. The team consists of 1 team leader,2 coordinators and 3 technicians.The key responsibilities of our Engineering Maintenance Technician will include:

Carrying out risk assessment of planned and reactive asset care works aligned with the SC Johnson 7 absolutes of safety and implementing safe working systems to ensure zero harm is achieved across the site.
Carrying out asset care plans and PM schedules across a range of automated filling and packaging equipment, robotics, site services and liquids processing equipment.
Operating within a CMMS system
Plant, machinery, and services breakdowns, identifying root cause, and implementing the required mechanical and electrical asset care.
Assistingwith contractor servicing of plant, machinery, and services.
Supporting the development of asset care improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, and reliability.

Previous experience / knowledge required of our Engineering Maintenance Technician:Essential

Experience working in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
Experience working on a range of electrical and mechanical breakdowns repair of plant, machinery, and services.
Experience of implementing PM schedules
Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and electrical systems.
Experienced in root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
Must have a NVQ level 3 or equivalent electrical engineering and time served apprenticeship.

Desirable

Experience of maintaining liquids filling and packaging equipment and chemical batch processing.
Experience of fault finding on PLC’s and PLC programming.
