Here at SC Johnson Professional, we have an opportunity for an Associate Manager - Warehousing and Secondary Freight Operations to join our team based in Denby. Our purpose is to invent new products and solutions that create efficiencies, reduce inventories, simplify training, and create a positive cleaning experience for users of our products and the spaces in which our products are used.Reporting to the Logistics Manager Europe, our Associate Manager will be responsible for warehousing and secondary freight operations within the LSP network. You will manage the relationship with the logistics service providers ensuring they deliver the agreed service levels at optimal cost. The scope of the role includes inventory management and accuracy throughout the network.Key responsibilities of our Associate Manager:- Driving inventory management (accuracy, stock take, quality, expire date, DG, compliance, obsolete, returns) to meet country group targets and SCJ standards- Gathering operational metrics from LSPs and applying Lean principles to deliver root-cause analysis- Partnering with the customer service team, customer finance, local sales and LSPs to solve day to day logistics operational issues- Analysing and solving problems involving inventory variances, receipt discrepancies, returns, obsolete damage, custom pallets, confirmations, past dues, and unfilled orders Inventory management- Managing the B2B inventory accuracy at LSPs, ensuring Inventory Accuracy, including book to book reconciliation, coordination and audit of cycle and stock counts and annual inventory stock takes- Driving Master Data accuracy- acting as the internal escalation point for Secondary Freight day to day service issues and for Quality issues- Supporting/managing returns and refusals- Delivering/identifying cost savings through sustainable continuous improvement and ongoing challenge of the logistics cost base- Delivering/contributing to SF&ODE budget and service KPIs in the country group- Leading, coaching, and developing your team and peers- Ensuring that all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to at all times, as well as ensuring the management of the Health & Safety at Work Act- Actively promoting and supporting Health, Safety and Environmental initiativesWhat we’re looking for in our Associate Manager:- A university degree in Logistics, Economics or Industrial Management Engineering- Fluency in speaking, writing and reading in English- Knowledge of VBA scripting- SAP experience- Excellent communication skills- Excellent analytical skills with financial acumen- An eagerness to learn and to work in a regional Logistics team- A strong team playerWhat we can offer our Associate Manager: - Large and expanding fast-paced global business- Committed to implementing best practice in all areas- Focus on innovation and continuous improvement- Competitive salary and benefits- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) rising to 36 days with length of service- Contributory pension schemeIf you feel you have what it takes to become our Associate Manager, then please click ‘apply’ now!
