Its an opportunity to be a part of one of the fastest growing, most forward thinking teams in the fleet industry.This is an exciting opportunity for a HGV Technician to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.As a HGV Technician, youll be trusted with keeping some of the UKs biggest brands on the road, responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, repair, and servicing of customers fleets.And when you join us, youre supported in developing your own career too, surrounded by a team of passionate people driven to keep customers moving.Role & Responsibilities* Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation* Overhaul electrical equipment and components* Welding and metal working (if authorised & qualified)* Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment (if authorised)* Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (when suitably qualified)* Take charge for parts ordering and stores management* Support workshops team members including Apprentice Technicians as required* Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details* required to substitute Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed* Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency* Maybe the Technician in Charge or cover reception if required* Ad-hoc duties as required* Health and safety at work and workshop cleanliness is of paramount importanceSkills & Experience* Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods maintenance or equivalent, or considered qualified by experience* Excellent customer service mindset* Great communication skills* Ability to work quickly and effectively* Must be hardworking and self-motivated and a productive Technician* Ability to tackle all aspects of repair and servicing* Diagnostics skills/qualifications - desirable* Fleet experienceWhats on offer* Pension* Life Assurance* Attractive annual leave package* Free MOTs* Shift Allowance (If applicable - Subject to the working hours of the garage)* Opportunities for development and training* Be part of an ambitious and growing organisation
