Dispatch/PPT OperativeLivingston£10.64 per hourTemp to perm for the right candidate after 12 weeks6am-3pm - 5 days out of 7A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced dispatch operative to join our client in Livingston.You will be trained to use a pallet truck and good attention to detail will be required due to the role requiring paperwork to be competed as part of the process.The hours of work are 6am-3pm, working to a rota of 5 days out of 7.The Dispatch / PPT Operative will report daily to the Production Controllers, but also have direct responsibility to the Production Manager if any issues cannot be resolved at operational level.DISPATCH RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect Pallet Truck before operating, reporting any faults or damage. Obtain completed customers orders indicating Room Allocation, Country of Origin, Size of order, etc. Ensure SALVO SYSTEM (Lorry Parking Procedure) is adhered to. Pick orders to documentation and layout in the dispatch area, including scanning to pick notes etc. Count allocation of fruit to each customer and check that this tallies with the customer requirement as shown on the Customer Delivery Note before scanning and loading vehicles. Ensure delivery vehicles are not loaded until their running temperature is verified, by inspecting the vehicles temperature gauge, e.g. +14C. Report faults with trailers to the Production Controllers before commencing loading. Complete and file all documentation accurately. To ensure working area is kept tidy and comply with Fyffes Health & Safety Policies. To conform to the Fyffes Health Declaration, Food Hygiene Declaration. At times the position requires some confidentiality and it is important that this adhered to.PPT/WAREHOUSE RESPONSIBILITIES: Collect and return scanner and knife from Warehouse. Inspect MHE allocated to department before operating, reporting any faults or damage. Ensure that all products are being checked and packed properly to Customer Specification. Fill in relevant paperwork. Ensure that the correct fruit is scanned onto the correct works order. Ensure pallets are labelled correctly and ready for dispatch. Move fruit from PPT to Dispatch area using Pallet Truck Check the correct count is scanned back onto the pallet of fruit at the end of the order. Assist with any job that they are competent in carrying out, including end of day cleaning.KEY SKILLS:
