Job Description

Pay: £27,186, - £42,192 Start Date: ASAP Full-time, 12 month Maternity Cover We are looking to appoint a talented andenthusiastic Teacher of English to join Goodwin Academy on a fixed term contractfrom until at least July 2021. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified English Teacher
  • Be able to consistently deliver good oroutstanding practice
  • Be experienced in planning an appropriate and challengingcurriculum
  • Have a thorough knowledge of present curriculumdevelopments, particularly those relating to English
  • Be an inspiring teacher with real enthusiasm forthe subject
  • Be able to motivate their pupils
  • Be committed to high standards for both staff andstudents
  • Be prepared to contribute to the extra-curricularlife of the Academy
  • Have excellent knowledge/experience of teachingEnglish

Sponsored by the Thinking SchoolsAcademy Trust, the school is part of a family of schools in Kent, Medway andPortsmouth. There are currently 17 academies in the trust including secondaryand primary/junior academies.
