An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on an older adult assessment unit based in Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli on either a full time or part time basis. The ward takes admissions of adults with a range of needs including functional illnesses and behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia from the Carmarthenshire and wider Hywel Dda University Health Board area.We are looking for an experienced Staff Nurse who is committed towards helping to improve and deliver the highest standards of person centred assessment and care to older adults on a 15 bedded unit. You will be working within an multi-disciplinary team which consists of Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Support Workers, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Pharmacists, using a collaborative approach to solve and manage problems for the people in our care.The ward is an excellent learning environment for all grades and professions and all staff are encouraged to develop to their maximum potential, with a wide range of formal training available both from the Health Board and The local University setting, and also from our ward based development programme.
