Job Description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individuals to fill a Band 2 Medical Laboratory Assistant post to work in the Blood Science Department at Prince Philip Hospital.The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week, and there is a requirement to participate on the Phlebotomy weekend and Bank Holiday rota ( there is extra remuneration for staff on this rota).The successful candidates will be required to undertake a wide range of duties to include blood patient data entry into the laboratory computer system, handling and processing biological specimens, load and unload samples from laboratory analysers, together with supporting in phlebotomy. Full training will be provided upon commencement.
