Applications are invited from motivated, efficient and committed individuals for the position of Contact Centre Clerk, based at the newly established Outpatient contact centre, within the Health Records Department, Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli. Full time 37.5 hours per week (between the hours of 8.00am - 6.00pm over 7 days), fixed term one year.Duties will include:Operation of a computerised patients administration system, including inputting, retrieval and updating of data.Utilising the available systems to efficiently arrange and agree all outpatient appointments for all Hywel Dda residents across the Health Board. Working as part of the team, confidently negotiate and agree an appropriate date and time for outpatient appointments and booking the patient into the relevant clinic.The post holder will handle a variety of calls from patients, relatives and other individuals, dealing with and resolving all queries in an efficient and effective manner. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills with an excellent phone manner, organisational, interpersonal and numerical skills and have an accurate and organised approach to work. A flexible approach to working and working hours is required and you should be prepared to undertake additional duties as and when required.
