Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS Cymru) team as an experienced Programme Manager.The successful candidate will be part of an innovative national programme that was established in 2015 and will be integral to the development, implementation and delivery of the service across Wales. This will include working with the senior management team and clinicians in identifying future opportunities for improvement or expansion.If you are a self-motivated and experienced professional, with a track record of delivering successful programmes within the NHS, you could be who we are looking for.This full time, permanent position will be located in South Wales, with the requirement to travel across our Welsh bases. The base will be agreed with the successful candidate.ABOUT US

  • We are the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS) and work collaboratively in partnership with NHS Wales, Welsh Government, and Wales Air Ambulance Charity. We provide Physician and Practitioner-delivered pre-hospital/inter-hospital critical care services to our community and networks across Wales.
  • WHAT IS REQUIREDThe post holder will:
  • foster influential relationships with a number of professionals within NHS organisations across Wales
  • establish appropriate project structures within the programme and develop plans that will ensure the progress and timely delivery of EMRTS service change initiatives
  • develop, as required, Welsh Government business cases to support the ongoing strategic vision of the EMRTS
  • work with the Clinical Informatics & Research Manager to further develop and implement the service evaluation and performance dashboard to reflect the key performance indicators of the EMRTS
  • WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORThe post holder will:
  • be an experienced Programme Manager who can work across boundaries to effectively plan, support, facilitate and monitor progress of the EMRTS
  • have a developed knowledge and experience of project tools and techniques
  • build and maintain a strong network and ensure that all relevant stakeholders are actively participating in delivering service change in line with the EMRTS stakeholder engagement strategy
  • lead, and interpret corporate and national legislation relating to the EMRTS programme
  • advise on specific national and/or local projects and programmes, Welsh Government guidelines and best practice
