An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 7 to gain valuable experience, skills and knowledge as an 8a matron Medicine and ECHO Service Group, Morriston Hospital.Medicine and ECHO Service Group is striving to deliver services that meet local and national strategies, therefore will need to be innovative, forward thinking and able to adapt to change.You will need to be passionate about ensuring patients receive safe, high quality care, and be patient focused. In addition you need to be someone who wants to and has the ability to improve services. You need to be able to inspire and lead your teams, with highly visible compassionate leadership, demonstrating the values of the health board.The ability to work autonomously is essential and will be responsible for helping to deliver the quality agenda such as patient flow, safeguarding, staffing, budgetary resources and infection control standards. You will have direct line management responsibilities for Ward Managers and specialist nurses within your area of responsibility. You will be supported and report to the senior matron/ Head of Nursing for the speciality.
