This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our skilled and dedicated Laboratory Medicine team. Ideally, you will have a level 4 science qualification (HNC/NVQ) or equivalent laboratory experience.As part of your duties, you will be trained to operate laboratory equipment to carry out diagnostic tests on patients. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a background in science who is keen to learn and develop in a stimulating and rewarding environment. The Laboratory Medicine Department is made up of Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology and the hospital Blood Bank. On completion of full training you will be expected to work in all these areas on rotation.The Laboratory Medicine Department has its laboratories at Morriston, Singleton, Neath Port Talbot and Princess of Wales Hospitals and provides a 24 hour service for blood tests on patients from hospitals, clinics and GPs within the SBU Health Board population.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to applyFor further details / informal visits contact:Lee.peters@wales.nhs.ukNick.Dorward@wales.nhs.uk
