We are delighted to offer this exciting new post that will enable the appointee to gain invaluable teaching experience. These posts are being created to nurture our vision of improving our successful undergraduate and postgraduate medical education programmes. This post will offer opportunities for candidates to gain practical experience of delivering teaching sessions and learn latest evidence based medical education practices.The Clinical Teaching fellow post is based at Morriston Hospital. Paediatric Inpatient services in Swansea are on the Morriston Hospital site. The candidate will benefit from access to resources and support from the medical school and will be encouraged to undertake a formal postgraduate qualification in medical education, for which courses are offered by Swansea University. Study leave will be readily granted for this activityStudy leave is allowed in accordance with Whitley Council arrangements on the basis that adequate cover is arranged in advance with colleagues (in line with the inclusive contract). Situated in South Wales, the area surrounding the Health Board boasts beautiful scenery, affordable housing, excellent schools and higher education, good road and rail links to London (2 ½ hours). We are conveniently situated on the M4 corridor.This post is suitable for doctors who wish to gain formal teaching experience in a department that works closely with Swansea University Medical School.
