Static 6 Cardiothoracic PhysiotherapistAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Static Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Cardiothoracic and Thoracic Prehabilitation team. Currently the development of a Regional single centre Thoracic unit is in the planning phase. This position will enable the successful candidate to gain valuable insight and skills in Thoracics which will assist in enhancing their future prospects.We are looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist who is enthusiastic, motivated and committed to supporting patients throughout their pathway of care. The successful candidate will gain experience in Cardiothoracic surgery (including critical care), Cardiology and Thoracic Prehabilitation. Following appropriate training from a highly experienced Band 7, the successful candidate will take the lead in the management of the Thoracic Prehabilitation service. This includes Prehabilitation clinic, the assessment of high-risk patients for surgery and liaising with the MDT across the health board. This also involves supporting the Band 4 Cardiothoracic Rehabilitation Technicians working across sites to reach out to those patients in the community, helping them improve their fitness for thoracic surgery. This will enable you to develop and enhance your managerial skills. You will then have an opportunity to continue to support these patients following their surgery in their post-operative rehabilitation phase.The diverse nature of this post will allow development of both your clinical and managerial skills, as well as the opportunity for involvement in audit and research in this area.
