Part Time 18.75 hours per weekThere is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join the established psychology service as part of the Welsh Centre for Cleft Lip & Palate. The Assistant Psychologist will be a valued member of a busy multi-disciplinary team, joining 3 Clinical Psychologists and another Assistant Psychologist.The post holder will be required to participate in MDT clinics working with people accross the lifespan, working both in person and remotely; collect, input and analyse audit data; and to support other services delivered by members of the Psychology Service and the multi-disciplinary team such as groups for adults and young people and other psychological interventions. There will also be opportunities for project work, for example developing care pathways and producing resources. The post holder will have the opportunity to engage in clinical work with children, families and adults attending the Service. There will also be an opportunity to work at a UK level through the Clinical Excellence Network (CEN) of psychologists working in cleft services.We are looking for an enthusiastic psychology graduate with excellent communication skills and excellent IT skills. Applicants should have at least one year’s experience as an Assistant Psychologist or in a similar role and ideally have some research assistant type experience. Applicants should also be able to work in Swansea, Cardiff and remotely from home. We are not able to shortlist applicants who are graduating this year.
