Job Description

Job Title: Parcel SorterLocation: Curdworth,BirminghamPay rate: £10.42 - £11.20 DOEHours of Work: 3am-12pm Tuesday to SaturdayType: TemporaryStart Date: ImmediatelyWe are hiring a Parcel Sorter to join our client’s busy warehouse in Curdworth,Birmingham. The role will involve the safe handling of parcels varying in size and weight.Duties of a Parcel Sorter:You will be working as part of the team and will be responsible for:

  • Heavy lifting
  • Unloading Containers and Trailers
  • Sorting Parcels and items into correct areas
  • Carrying lifting heavy items
  • Manual Handling - heavy lifting might be required
  • Loading and unloading lorries in a safe and efficient manner
  • Scanning and manually sorting parcels
  • Moving boxes, items, pallets using a pump truck
  • General warehouse duties in order to maintain smooth and safe operations on site
  • Keeping place of work clean, neat and tidy
Skills and experience of a Parcel Sorter:As a Parcel Sorter, you need to have experience with:
  • Heavy lifting is involved so you must be physically fit.
  • Previous manual handling experience would be a plus
  • Experience using a pump truck
It would be beneficial to the Parcel Sorter if you also had:
  • High attention to details
  • Access to reliable transport. The client’s site is accessible via car, public transport, walking or cycling
