Job Description

Amour Recruitment are delighted to be once again supporting a leading European-based workplace equipment supplier, this time with their search for a Warehouse Manager. This client have many years experience as a customer-focused specialist in their fieldand offer an impressive, wide-ranging product selection to their client base.The role of Warehouse Manager, based at their site in Blackwood, is an integral one to the day to day operation and the successful candidate will manage all warehouse operations, policies and procedures ensuring that target levels are exceeded at all times.Candidates will need to be able to work a 40hr week, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm and have access to transport in order to be able to reach the Blackwood site.Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage warehouse operations in compliance with companys policies and vision, working to and implementing the company way in terms of working practices.
  • Oversee receiving, stock management, customer order processing, value added processes and maintenance needs.
  • Continually Evaluate, plan and set up space requirements for an ever-changing and growing product range.
  • Initiate, co-ordinate and enforce optimal operation policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
  • Input to financial planning and result analysis.
  • Liaise with suppliers, transport companies and group contacts.
  • Manage the customer delivery process optimising and modelling the transport portfolio to ensure quality and cost are achieved.
  • Plan work actions, assign tasks and measure performance results.
  • Select, recruit, induct, train and motivate employees.
  • Produce reports and statistics as required.
  • Buildings and facilities management
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience of warehouse management.
  • Expertise in management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement processes.
  • Able to define and use warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to use IT tools to analyse and report data.
