Fives offers a complete range of grinding machines, plus a comprehensive line of systems, grinding accessories and GrinderCare service program for lifecycle support.As Senior Shipping Planner you will be responsible for the shipment of goods worldwide and will have the exiting opportunity to develop and lead our Global Logistics requirements.Key Responsibilities

Arrange shipment of machinery and spares orders both UK and worldwide
Prepare documentation to ensure the smooth transit and prompt payment
Ensure the compliance of export documentation, clearance and delivery to Customers Warehouse/Factory
Management of 3rd Party relationships with Freight forwarders
Proactively chase planned shipments to ensure shipping deadlines are met
Liaise with internal departments to understand requirements and ensure orders packed as and when required
Establish and develop robust logistics and shipping processes to support continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience

Proven track record in a Logistics/ shipping role with an excellent understanding of Global trade, compliance and customs regulations
Strong knowledge of cross border sea and air freight handling
Understanding of INCO terms and Import/export knowledge
Strong administration skills along with knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines or set timescales
Passion for continuous improvement
Previous experience managing or leading a team is essential
SAP experience is desirable
