We have an exciting opportunity to join a specialist Fire Protection and Construction Consultancy.Due to continued business growth and commercial success throughout the business they are now seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team.This will be based at their head offices in Edenbridge, Kent with some remote working capability circa 2 days/week subject to work commitments.Duties include: * Development and implementation of fire strategies* Review fire protection systems, including fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.* Manage relevant aspects of the project ensuring tasks and objectives are completed on time to cost and quality.* Reviewing client building packages* Preparing project documentation and plans* Provide guidance and support to junior engineering staff, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous professional development* Undertaking preliminary site visits and follow up meeting at client sites across the UK and occasionally international.* To play a role bids and fee proposal to new customers.Who we are looking for:You should have demonstrable experience working in a similar position and are expected to be educated to degree level in Fire Engineering, or another relevant discipline such as Mechanical/Structural Engineering.You will have a thorough knowledge of all relevant British/European Standards relating to fire detection and experience in the design, development and installation of large scale fire detection/aspirating systems.You will receive:* Salary £65,000 per annum* Company pension contribution @ 5%* Medical cover* Working from home circa two days per week if desired, subject to work commitments
