Job Description

Lead Infrastructure EngineerSalary: CompetitiveHours: 37.5 Hour week. Monday - Friday. Early Finish Friday.Package: 27 Days Holiday + BH, Life Assurance, Incentive Schemes and more.

  • The Product Lead collaborates with the other Engineering Team Product Leads and the Engineering Manager, and is responsible for the planning, co-ordination, creation and delivery of technical solutions and technical project deliverables. In addition, theProduct Lead acts as a Project Engineer where necessary.
  • The Lead Engineer will be the main technical point of contact for the product line, both internally and externally.
  • Their role will involve directly managing a team of Project and Design Engineers to deliver the requirements of the product line active projects, as well as supporting legacy projects, new tenders, design and/or quality investigations, and any R&D queries.
  • The role will also involve utilising off site engineering centres and contractors either directly or through your team to aid the successful on time completion of deliverables.
  • The role will include schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the project. The role is to ensure projects are completed according to overall project plan
  • Could be meeting customers related to a project or attending an overhead or conductor rail construction site to survey or understand and support ongoing issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Mechanical Engineering qualifications
  • R&D Experience
  • Tendering Experience
  • Quality and Auditing Qualifications or Experience
  • Appreciation of mechanical engineering design (basic principles, calculations, materials)
