ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER / CREWKERNELocation: Crewkerne, SomersetJob type: PermanentHours: 39 hours per week - days with occasional night shiftSalary: Up to £43,602 per annum, dependent one experience and qualificationsHawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team in Crewkerne on a permanent contract.The successful candidate will work with colleagues to improve production facilities, reduce incidence of costly breakdowns and follow strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of the plant, personnel and production process.Day to day of this role includes reactive and preventative maintenance within the factory on various machinery ensuring machinery and equipment runs smoothly to maintain production and quality.Duties & responsibilities:

Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate and repairing faults if found

Fitting of new partsEnsuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems and production machinesFollowing diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacture instructions and engineering specificationsLocating sources of problems by observing mechanical devises in operation, listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instrumentsRemoving defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes and hand and power toolsAll electrical work inclyding lighting, wiring, testing, alarm systems and lighting systemsControl downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring complianceChecking stock to determine inventory levelsProvide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requestsResponding immediately to equipment and machinery breakdownsFixing faults or arranging for replacement to be installedMaking scheduled checks on machinery and partsAbout you:

Fault finding experience within an industrial environment

Experience in a maintenance roleBackground working within a manufacturing, plastics, aerospace, automotive, precision or similar environmentDual skilled mechanical / electrical is desirableExperience of working within an engineering environmentMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance EngineerExperience in preventative and corrective maintenanceExperience of working within a foundry is desirableRelevant electrical qualification - City & Guilds, 18 th Edition or NVQHNC or HND in either General Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Operations is desirableBenefits:
