Design Engineer - Crewkerne - Somerset £40,000 - £45,000 Early Finish Friday, private health cover, 33 days holiday,Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products thats quality is recognised as second to none. Due to exciting plans for 2023 they are looking for a Design Engineerto join their design Team.Role & Responsibilities:Lead and manage the customer negotiations regarding the specifications of the products to be designed and define the functional specifications based on the customer requirements,Manage the development of the design concepts for the products (3D models, tolerance calculations, etc.).Manage and perform the `functional reviews` at certain stages during the projects (FMEA, design concept release, CAD concept etc.)Prepare and maintain the technical documentation regarding the productsProvide innovative solutions to the design and updating of the companies range of productsDesign and detailed draughting, including geometric tolerancing, of production/prototype components using Catia V5 and to relevant internal and external engineering standardKnowledge, Skills & Experience:Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other suitable engineering discipline.3 - 5 years of relevant work experience.Familiarity with PLM, PDM and ERP systems.Knowledge of production, manufacturing and quality techniques3D & 2D CAD experience (preferably Catia V5 or PTC Creo)Benefits Package:£40,000 - £45,000 Early Finish Friday, private health cover, 33 days holiday,"To apply please email your CV / resume to [ ]".If you are interested in the role or looking for something similar please contact our Managing Consultant, Emma HardmanHunter Selection is a nationwide provider of recruitment services in ENGINEERING, MANUFACTURING, SERVICE & TECHNOLOGY.
