Job Description

Successful Joinery & Furniture Making Business requires additional drawing office expertise due to expansion. Candidates with both a passion and a working knowledge of furniture or joinery making and design are welcome to apply. Details of the role are:

  • All necessary production of technical drawings and specification for product development
  • Working with production to develop effcient CNC programmes using AlphaCAM or Biesse CNC Router Software
  • Reviewing sustainable development of new product ideas
  • Overseeing development of prototypes internally and externally throughout the product development process
  • Research and development of materials and processes
  • Developing and evolving internal NPD processes and Project managing furniture project plans to ensure on-time delivery of new products
  • Producing concepts, sketches and renders for either internal or external presentation
  • Producing high quality 3D furniture visuals for web and client presentations
    • You Need
  • Degree in furniture or joinery design/design
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the furniture or joinery design industry
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing process and materials
  • Awareness of latest technological manufacturing and material advances
  • Creative thinker and look for best use of manufacturing methods and materials in our product development strategy Expert in Inventor, 3D Max, AutoCAD, CNC/CAD-CAM
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Well organised
  • Great communicator
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing personality
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in an often-fluid environment
