Please visit strive . co . uk for additional roles across supply chain, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, production, warehouse & transport operations.Production Team Manager (Nights) Sunday - Thursday, 7pm - 4amDartford DA1Up to £45K DOE + BenefitsStrive Supply chain have been exclusively selected to work with a well-established, multi-million £ ,privately owned business specialising in supplying FMCG / food to a variety of sectors.About the role:The nature of the role is to supervise the Packhouse Operations for the Evening Shift: managing Safety, Quality, Service level, the Team, efficiency and Cost as well as to efficiently organise the packing activities on the shift so that Shop Orders are meton-time, in-full and to the right quality, whilst delivering improvements and driving efficiency so that agreed cost KPIs are achieved.Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Food Safety and Health & Safety issues are dealt with promptly, in line with Company procedures and that all members of the team are aware of their Food Safety and Health & Safety responsibilities.
• As senior manager in the event of a serious accident or incident you will take control of the situation:
• FIRE ALARM - act as Evacuation Controller (see Doc No: 4.1.4 Fire Evacuation Procedure).

• ACCIDENT / INCIDENT - Take charge of the situation and ensure correct communication is
• undertaken

• Provide clear leadership to the production team, ensuring roles and responsibilities are allocated, understood and meet the needs of the business.
• Manage and motivate the team according to Company policies and employment law, ensuring relevant HR procedures are followed (recruitment and selection, appraisals, disciplinary, grievance etc).
• Oversee the daily activities required to efficiently achieve the production plan; Directing Supervisors and communicating with Planning, Product Managers, Warehouse and QC as needed.
• Control the daily and weekly Labour Deployment, ensuring all tasks are resourced and that crew levels are appropriate for achieving efficiency targets.
• Managing Overtime and Holidays to agreed levels.

• Ensure Shop Orders are closed and clear notes on any discrepancies or issues are left for the Planning Team.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the Production team in conjunction with the Production Manager in terms of quality, performance and cost, ensuring targets are met, areas for improvement are identified and addressed.
• Investigate Accidents, Near Misses and matters of a disciplinary nature, following through to complete corrective actions.
• Ensure that colleagues respect their equipment and that any loss or damage is reported, investigated and appropriate action is taken.
• Ensure the team is kept up-to-date on Company matters and that there is opportunity for the team to feedback any ideas or concerns ensuring these are actioned as appropriate.
• Manage Night Shift cleaning staff and ensure they are fulfilling the cleaning schedule, direct their work as necessary.
• Play an active role within the Operational Management Team.
• Any other reasonable requests by the Operations Director or Company

About you: We are looking for an experienced professional who has thrived in similar fast-paced and target driven operations such as Production, Manufacturing or FMCG.
