Looking to take the next step in your career Our client is seeking a talented Shift Engineer (Electrically biased) to join their dynamic team and contribute to their continued growth.The role of Shift Engineer is a varied one, covering maintenance services across a wide range of plant and equipment within the manufacturing facility. You will be involved with CI activities as well as day to day shift engineering duties.The company is a leading manufacturer in their field and are a long-standing well-known business based in Driffield.They operate a 2 weekly rotating shift pattern. Working days and nights, 12 hours shifts covering Monday to Sunday.They offer excellent training and development opportunities for their engineering team.The Shift Engineer role:* Maintain service and repair plant machinery to minimise production down time.* Reactive and PPM duties. Electrical and Mechanical.* Ensure faults, breakdowns or issues are logged and reported correctly.* Carry out fault finding and repair of equipment and facilities.* Promote risk assessments to ensure safe systems of working.* Willingly take up opportunities for training in specialist plant and equipment.* Seek out and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement, production efficiencies and cost effectiveness.* Support and conduct regular inspections and testing.The Candidate:* A background in manufacturing environments, ideally with good exposure to both manual and automated production equipment* Understanding of continuous improvement initiatives* Awareness of PLC systems.
