We are currently working with a leading specialist manufacturer based near Cranbrook.Due to expansion, they are currently seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join their team.This is a hands-on role that would suit an experienced Quality Technician with a strong background in the inspection of fine limit sheet metal fabrications and associated products.Responsibilities will include:Final inspection of sheet metal and machined components to drawings manufactured in their engineering plantInspection of incoming raw materials and sub-contract operationsIn-process inspection of partsMaintain all quality recordsCalibration of measuring equipmentAssisting the quality engineer with non-conforming investigationsAssisting with ISO 9001 management system dutiesMeeting production deadlines for ordersSupporting the quality team in discussions with suppliers and customers over concerns and issuesThe ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:Experience of fine limit sheet metal inspectionExperience of using measurement equipmentA good understanding of reading engineering drawings, tolerances and first principle measuring techniquesExperience and understanding of ISO 9001Strong organisational and decision-making skillsProficient IT skills and experience of ERP systemsTeam player possessing good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to staff at all levelsPossess good attention to detailDesirable Skills:Experience of CMMExperience of XRF analysisExperience of hardness and tensile testingExperience of 8D, FMEA, AQAP processesThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that can offer ongoing career development and training coupled with an excellent salary and benefits package.
