Job Description

We are currently working with a leading specialist manufacturer based just outside of Cranbrook.Due to expansion, they are currently seeking an enthusiastic Purchasing Administrator tojoin their operations team, who are responsible for over £1m of spend.The successful candidate will be assisting in processing purchasing requests according to business needs both in terms of manufacture of the Companys product lines as well as sundry purchases. Additional duties will include:Supporting all departments with stock and non-stock purchasingSupporting other departments with other general administration duties as requiredProcessing all purchasing requirements Company-wide via the internal MRP systemLiaising with the operations and stores teams, chasing delivery dates and ensuring shipments will be arriving on timeAny other related tasks to support the operations departmentSupporting other departments with general administration tasks as requiredThe ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:Experience of order processing & receiptGood interpersonal skills for dealing with suppliersIT proficient (experience of Excel/Word, etc.)Good organisational skills (multi-tasker)Team playerWillingness to learnDesirable Skills:Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar roleExperience in manufacturingKnowledge of engineering and the ability to understand engineering drawingsPrevious experience of MRP softwareThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that can offer ongoing career development and training coupled with an excellent salary and benefits package.
