Job Description

In the Strategic Asset Management team, our data driven analytics and innovative thinking help us discover how, where, and whenour investment strategy can deliver on this vision for hundreds of thousands of customers across the UK.The Surveyor will be responsible for defining, developing and leading a strategic regeneration programme for Orbits lowest performing estates. This will result in a £100m plan and subsequent 10-year regeneration programme to substantially improve the propertiesand environments in which our customers live.   • Lead regeneration projects to transform communities across Orbits geography
  • Develop and embed effective programme governance
  • Identify the ideal characteristics to optimise performance and put forward a business case for potential re-development/regeneration opportunities
  • Work with regional development teams to progress scheme design to stage 2 of the RIBA plan of works
  • Where relevant procure external resources and consultants
  • Undertake robust option appraisals, drafting reports to put forward justified recommendation strategies for underperforming assets
  • Promote Orbits design standards and seek to deliver schemes using modern methods of construction
  • Identify and procure relevant site due diligence checks
  • Support the wider portfolio team to facilitate the promotion of schemes requiring intervention
The role will require travel across Orbits key geographies and expenses will be covered in line with Orbits expenses policy.What will help you make a difference.
  • Ideally possess RIBA, MRICS or CIOB qualification
  • Surveying or construction background with an interest in property development and regeneration
  • Experience of commissioning a range of property services professionals such as solicitors, building surveyors, valuers, planning consultants, architects and cost consultants
  • Knowledge of cashflow principles (in a property context)
  • Ability to travel across Orbit geographies
